The details
The three buildings are being constructed on a 4.55-acre site at 1615 Sienna Parkway in Missouri City, according to a brochure from Malabar Hill Capital, the developer of the project.
Two of the buildings, buildings A and C, will be roughly 13,700 square feet, according to filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
Building B will be roughly 10,300 square feet, according to a filing with TDLR.
Also of note
No tenants have been confirmed for the shopping center, but there’s been interest from local businesses to become tenants, said Collin Lester, a broker for real estate firm Read King, the broker for the retail center.
He said he envisions a mix of national, regional and local tenants coming to The Market at Waters Lake.
One last thing
Over 4,900 homes are being built in Sienna in areas surrounding the shopping center, according to a flyer from Malabar Hill Capital.
"We thought [Sienna] was well positioned for a strong neighborhood center,” Lester said. “I've already talked to a few business owners in the community that are interested in opening restaurants, or also some other types of facilities that will be very well integrated into Sienna.”
Sienna was ranked by RCLCO, a real estate research firm, as the 22nd best selling master-planned community in the U.S.
The community had 585 home sales in 2024, according to the RCLCO.
What’s next?
Construction will begin in the third quarter of this year on the project, and the buildings are expected to be delivered by the second quarter of 2026, Lester said.
