The update
With an investment of $4 million, the city has revitalized and opened the plaza with a brand-new facade and substantial parking improvements.
For over three decades, tenants like Old Hickory Inn BBQ have been serving locals within the area. However the improvements and updated aesthetic of the plaza have also drawn in newer tenants, such as Mama's Cafe and Presh as Duck Barber Shop.
A grand reopening event for the community was held April 30 for the public with live musical performances.
Quote of note
“This is more of a gathering place than your standard shopping center, and we really expect the community to really embrace the changes,” project broker and developer Steven Stone said in a previous news release.
