On June 17 and 18, Fort Bend County reported 171 and 59 new cases of the coronavirus, respectively. These new cases bring the county’s total case count to 2,726.

The 171 cases reported June 17 represent the most cases reported in a single day by Fort Bend County since the coronavirus pandemic began.

Additionally, the seven-day rolling average for new coronavirus cases reached an all-time high June 18 at 58.




Of the county’s 2,726 coronavirus cases, 1,537 are considered active, while 1,091 patients are recovered.

Twenty-four Fort Bend County residents are currently hospitalized with the coronavirus, and 50 have died from the illness.

The charts below show some updated geographic information about coronavirus cases in the Sugar Land and Missouri City area.


Due to the recent new cases, Missouri City now has more than five cases of the coronavirus per every 1,000 residents.
