Missouri City is holding a special runoff election beginning Nov. 26 for the positions of mayor and city council member at large Position 2.
Early voting goes through Tuesday, Dec. 4 at the Missouri City Community Center, 1522 Texas Pkwy., and Quail Valley Fund Office, 3603 Glenn Lakes. Hours for early voting can be found on the
Fort Bend County elections website. Both early voting locations will also be open on Election Day, Dec. 8.
Former District A Council Member Yolanda Ford
heads into the mayoral runoff with a slight advantage over incumbent Mayor Allen Owen. In the Nov. 6 election, Ford received 35.68 percent of votes in Fort Bend and Harris counties combined, according to official results, while Owen received 34.97 percent.
Meanwhile, council member at large Position 2 incumbent Chris Preston faces Susan Soto. On Nov. 6, Preston received 47.40 percent of votes while Soto received 25.38 percent.
