City and school district meetings take place in Sugar Land and Missouri City this week, April 16-20.

1) Missouri City City Council meets Monday, April 16 at 5:30 p.m. for a special meeting and at 7 p.m. for a regular meeting at 1522 Texas Parkway, Missouri City. During the special meeting, council will discuss a presentation on the proposed metro transit service for the city. 2) The Fort Bend ISD board of trustees meets for a regular meeting Monday, April 16 at 6 p.m. at 16431 Lexington Blvd., Sugar Land. The board will present a facilities planning update, which will be open for community feedback until 5 p.m. Monday. To view the full meeting agenda, click here.

3) Sugar Land City Council meets Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. for a regular meeting at 2700 Town Center Blvd., Sugar Land. Council will hold a workshop for review and discussion of naming the First Colony Conference Center. Council will also hold a public hearing for the proposed rezoning of 78 acres in New Territory from a interim standard single-family residential district to a neighborhood business, general business or business office district.
