Later this month, the public will have a chance to review transportation projects being considered for a possible November bond issue. The Fort Bend County Commissioners Court voted Tuesday to hold a workshop July 25 at 1 p.m.

The workshop will take place in the commissioners courtroom at 401 Jackson St., Richmond. At that time, the public can comment on individual projects and the entire $217 million bond referendum being considered for a November election.

A list of road projects under consideration and a corresponding map can be found on Fort Bend County’s website.

In addition, the commissioners approved construction contracts totaling $5,771,703.31 for three separate projects. These included a work order for more than $3.5 million with Houston-based Aranda Brothers Construction to pave SugarLand-Howell Road from Old Richmond Road to Bissonnet Street.

All votes passed unanimously, although Precinct 2 Commissioner Grady Prestage was absent.
