Kelsey-Seybold Clinic began construction Sept. 24 on a new $9 million medical office building in Sienna Plantation. Once construction is complete in August 2016, the new location will address growing medical needs in Missouri City, clinic officials said. The new Sienna Plantation center, located at 7010 Hwy. 6, Missouri City, will house eight medical specialties and accommodate 12 new physicians and staff. The location will also house an onsite pharmacy, lab, x-ray and diagnostics testing. The 23,800-square-foot location is one of two new specialty care centers the health system is constructing in Fort Bend County. Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is also constructing a new clinic in Katy, which will house its medical and diagnostic center. The new Katy location is expected to be open in early 2016. “As one of the fastest growing counties in the country, Fort Bend’s medical needs are changing and growing,” said Dr. Spencer Berthelsen, chairman of the board or managers and managing director of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. “Patients want access to their doctors near their homes, schools and places of work. This is why we are expanding our footprint in the Fort Bend area.”
