The cafe temporarily closed late last year for renovations before reopening Feb. 19 to the Sugar Land community, manager Jack Nguyen said. The new interior includes more seating, an enhanced customer check-out queue and modern pastry displays.

On the menu

The cafe provides coffee, handcrafted espresso drinks, teas, blended beverages, gourmet cakes and desserts. It also features an in-shop bakery where more than 50 varieties of pastries are baked hourly, according to the website.

The name refers to the 85 degrees Celsius temperature shop staff brews the espresso, according to the website.

Founded in 2003 in Taiwan, 85°C Bakery Cafe is an international chain with more than 1,000 locations worldwide, with the first U.S. location opening in 2008 in California, according to the website.
