Dignity Memorial, a national network for funeral, cemetery and cremation services, will break ground on a new Missouri City funeral home in late September.

What to expect

Construction on Forest Park Missouri City Funeral Home is set to be completed in early 2025, according to a Sept. 16 news release on the groundbreaking ceremony. The facility is meant to serve people of all faiths and cultures and accommodate a wide range of memorial options, per the release.

Professionals with the funeral home will assist families with preplanning arrangements, including traditional burial planning and cremation, designing a religious ceremony or orchestrating a celebration of life.

The details

Per the release, the 9,000-square-foot development will feature a covered outdoor space and an open interior design—which includes a spacious lobby, visitation room, a chapel with the capacity to seat 180 guests, a flexible reception space for catered meals or family gatherings, as well as private arrangement rooms.




The facility is also designed to host community events and meetings, according to the release.

The funeral home will have an "updated modern feel," per the release, with warm neutrals such as caramel, steel grey and tans with dark metal accent finishes. Forest Park Missouri City will also feature stained glass and plush furniture with stone finishes.
