Pakistan-based business Rahat Bakery will open a new store in Sugar Land this summer, local franchisee Khurram Rehman said.

Established in 1950, the international franchise sells foods that represent south Asian culture and flavors, Rehman said.

Its website boasts several items, such as biscuits, baqerkhani—a thick, spiced flatbread—sandwiches, pizza, tarts and a plethora of other pastries.
