Dollar Tree, a discount variety store chain, is expected to open a new store in Sugar Land.

While a projected opening date had not been announced by press time, renovations on a 14,002-square-foot space in the Sugar Creek Village shopping center are projected to finish in February, according to information from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

With over 8,000 stores nationwide, Dollar Tree sells everyday essential items, such as cleaning supplies and toiletries, as well as craft, seasonal and party merchandise. The brand recently changed its primary price point to $1.25, per the business's website.
