1. PetBar, the upscale pet grooming spa and boutique that offers an open concept where clients can see their pets at all times, is coming soon with a new location in Sugar Land. Owners and sisters-in-law Jennifer Lacombe and Aleini Lacombe, along with support from their husbands, will open the boutique in early March at 4720 Sweetwater Blvd., Sugar Land, Jennifer Lacombe said in an email to Community Impact Newspaper. Once open, the boutique will offer professional grooming, full-service washing, self-service washing and monthly memberships for full-service washes with no contracts, according to Jennifer Lacombe. 2. A new boutique offering Pakistani and Indian clothing is now open in Sugar Land. Posh Wear opened its doors on Dec. 31 in Woodbridge Shopping Center at 11575 S. Hwy. 6, Sugar Land. The boutique offers formal, casual and semiformal options, including dresses, tunics and trousers, along with a wide range of Pakistani and Indian jewelry. The store was opened by owner and director Saira Zafar, with all clothes sourced directly from Pakistan. 346-434-5555.

3. A new Indo-Pak grocery is now open in Sugar Land on Hwy. 6. The Imperial Spice grocery store opened Feb. 1 at 11941 Hwy. 6, Sugar Land, in the newly developed Imperial Square, said the grocery store’s co-owner, Tajddin Momin. With a little over 10,200 square feet, the grocery store offers a variety of authentic halal meats and Indo-Pak spices, Momin said. The grocery store first submitted a permit with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation on Dec. 1, 2020, to build out the space at a cost of $500,000. 832-661-5961. www.eliteindopak.com

4. Pet Supplies Plus opened a Missouri City location Feb. 4. Located at 9018 Sienna Crossing Drive, Ste. 200, the store offers a variety of products for dogs, cats, fish, birds and reptiles as well small pets. The store offers a self-service dog wash, grooming, live fish, small pets, live crickets, a visiting pet care clinic and a pet bakery. 5. The group fitness experience that combines immersive training with boxing techniques used by Floyd Mayweather is now open in Richmond. Mayweather Boxing + Fitness opened in its Richmond location at 22377 Bellaire Blvd., Richmond, with a grand opening Jan. 22, according to a Jan. 19 announcement. The new gym hosted a ribbon-cutting with the local chamber of commerce one day earlier on Jan. 21 at 9 a.m. The gym, which uses methods developed throughout Mayweather’s 21-year undefeated boxing career and combines boxing, strength and cardio conditioning, marks local entrepreneur Teresa Welch’s first opening in the Houston area with plans to open one more in the near future, according to the announcement. The opening of the Richmond location is part of the brand’s expansion throughout Houston.
