1. My Spice Grocery opened Nov. 8 at 6158 Sienna Ranch Road, Ste. 501, Missouri City. Located in the Luka Sienna Plaza, the grocery store carries a variety of products from South Asia, Africa and South America, as well as fresh vegetables, and halal meat and fish. Additionally, My Spice Grocery has a kitchen that prepares ready-to-eat snacks and preordered meals. The store is open daily from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. 281-969-5343. www.myspicegrocery.com

2. Visionworks opened a location at 5936 Hwy. 6, Ste. A, Missouri City, on Oct. 1. The optical retail store offers prescription contact lenses, glasses and sunglasses as well as eye exams. This is Visionworks’ first Missouri City location, but the company also has locations in Sugar Land and Pearland. 346-395-5593. www.visionworks.com

3. Missouri City will be getting a Burlington, previously known as Burlington Coat Factory, in late 2022. The retail department store leased 25,015 square feet of space in the Fort Bend Town Center Phase II, which broke ground Aug. 5 at the intersection of Hwy. 6 and the Fort Bend Parkway Toll Road. Burlington offers a wide variety of men’s, women’s and children’s items, as well as home decor and other goods. The business did not have an exact address within Fort Bend Town Center Phase II as of press time. 713-340-2809. www.burlington.com

4. Dreamz Smoke and Vape opened at 10581 Hwy. 6, Sugar Land, in late August. Dreamz offers a variety of tobacco smoking items and other adult products. Customers must be 18 or older. 346-279-0201. www.houstonsmokeandvape.com


5. Nan and Company Properties, a real estate firm, held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Sugar Land office at 3 Sugar Creek Center, Ste. 100, Sugar Land, on Oct. 1. An affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, Nan and Company Properties represents residential clients who are buying, selling and leasing, and the company offers developer, builder and relocation services.
