A Dunkin' location is coming to 6231 Hwy. 6, Missouri City, according to a permit posted on the building. The location, set to open in early 2021, was formerly a Carl's Jr.

Berg Hospitality Co. expands delivery service through ghost kitchen partnership

Patrons of Berg Hospitality Co.'s concepts in Houston have a new option for delivery and takeout.

With a partnership through CloudKitchen, Berg Hospitality has launched delivery services based out of Fair Food Co., at 5834 Fairdale Lane, Houston, in the Galleria area. The menu includes items from B.B. Italia Kitchen & Bar and B.B. Lemon as well as select cuts of meat from The Butcher Shop at B&B.

University of St. Thomas offers free counseling to area K-12 teachers


A free mental health counseling program initially rolled out in September for health care workers is now being expanded to help K-12 teachers, the University of St. Thomas announced Jan. 7.

Good Vibes Burgers and Brew is opening at 1329 E. Broadway St., Pearland, on Jan. 9. The burger restaurant is opening in the former location of King’s Biergarten and Restaurant, which closed in November.

Humble ISD expands free COVID-19 testing options to provide easier access for students

As of January, Humble ISD students have access to an additional option for free COVID-19 testing. HISD is offering the polymerase chain reaction, or PCR, tests through its partnership with 24 Hour Covid, a clinical laboratory.

The Toasted Yolk opened Dec. 28 at 2535 S. Gulf Freeway, League City, in Pinnacle Park. This marks the 15th location in the Houston area.

Montgomery County

UPDATED: Keough allows outdoor gatherings of 10 or more in Montgomery County; sheriff's office will respond to violations after tightened restrictions triggered

In the Jan. 6 video posted to social media, Montgomery County Judge Mark Keough stated the county will allow outdoor gatherings of 10 people or more, in compliance with Gov. Greg Abbott's GA-32 executive order.
