Friday


State of the County
The Central Fort Bend Chamber hosts the event with Fort Bend County Judge Robert “Bob” Hebert. As county judge, Hebert presides over Commissioners Court of the 10th largest county in Texas with a population exceeding 740,000; he oversees the county’s 2,600 employees and its $338 million budget.

He also serves as Fort Bend Emergency Management director and as a member of the county juvenile board, purchasing board and the Elections Commission. 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. $35 (individual); sponsorships are available. A Night at the Museum
Grammy-nominated saxophonist Chris Mitchell returns to Sugar Land for a family-friendly concert. Attendees age 8 and older are welcome. 8-10 p.m.

Texas Miss Amazing Pageant
The Miss Amazing Pageant is a program that gives girls and young women with disabilities the opportunity to build self-confidence in a supportive environment. During the event, participants take part in an evening wear and talent showcase.

Family Activity Day
Hosted by the Sugar Land Branch Library, the event includes educational, hands-on activities, crafts and games for all ages that are easily replicated at home.
