Sugar Land area locals have the option to attend two festivals this weekend. Texian Market Days lets festival goers enjoy history while Diwali Mela, a festival of lights, celebrates Indian culture. Here is what will be going on this weekend.
Oct. 21: Sugar Shindig
Benefiting the Fort Bend Education Foundation, the event includes a fajita dinner, music from Password and a cake auction. The Fort Bend ISD school or department with the most attendees wins lunch with the board of trustees. 6:30-11 p.m. $25. Oct. 21 through 22: 33rd annual Texian Market Days Festival
The whole family is invited to the event, which is hosted by the Fort Bend County Museum Association. Oct. 21 through 30: ‘James & the Giant Peach Jr.’
