Transportation projects to watch in Spring and Klein in 2019

1. Stuebner Airline Road improvements
Harris County Precinct 4 is studying  a project to extend Stuebner Airline Road as a four-lane concrete section between FM 2920 and the Grand Parkway, said Pamela Rocchi, director of the Precinct 4 Capital Improvement Projects Division. The project will also widen Spring Stuebner Road between the Grand Parkway and 1,500 feet northeast of the Grand Parkway.

2. Riley Fuzzel Road between Elm Street and Hardy Toll Road
A project to widen Riley Fuzzel Road between Elm Street and the Hardy Toll Road in Spring is in the design phase. The project includes upgrading the road to a four-lane concrete pavement, realigning the road to remove sharp turns, closing the railroad crossing at Caroline Street and opening a new crossing north of Riley Fuzzel Road. Harris County Precinct 4 plans to send the project out for bids in the fourth quarter of 2019.
