Harris County Precinct 1 completed a project in September to expand Walters Road between FM 1960 and Old Walters Road from two to four lanes as well as install drainage, a new traffic signal and a left-turn lane at Bammel North Houston Road. Texas Department of Transportation’s $2.3 million Statewide Curb Ramp project on FM 1960, implemented to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements, has resumed construction after having been delayed by utility conflicts. It will be completed in mid-2019, TxDOT Public Information Officer Danny Perez said. Estimated timeline: October 2016-mid-2019 3. A $13.3 million project to upgrade Champions Drive is a joint-participation roadway and drainage improvement project with Champions Municipal Utility District. It will upgrade the two-lane asphalt roadway to a two-lane concrete pavement section with an appropriate drainage system. Estimated timeline: Sept. 24, 2018-April 2020
