On Nov. 12, construction will begin on low-income housing apartment complex Saddle Creek Village, which is being developed by Oregon-based company Stewardship Development, according to a Sept. 16 email from a company spokesperson. A groundbreaking celebration—featuring light beverages and snacks—will be held at noon on Nov. 12.

The complex, Saddle Creek Village, will consist of 72 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments for residents earning 60% or less of the average median income. The project will be funded by Harris County American Rescue Plan Act funds and is a 9% tax credit project, as previously reported by Community Impact.
