Northwest Assistance Ministries is offering relief services for Hurricane Harvey victims who reside in its service area, which includes parts of Spring and Klein, The Woodlands, Cy-Fair and Tomball. NAM is a Spring-based nonprofit that provides resource assistance and education.
NAM is offering donated items for individuals and households, such as food, clothing and cleaning supplies, as well as bus passes and down payments for cars purchased through On the Road Lending. Services include assistance with Federal Emergency Management Agency appeals for recovery assistance as well as mental health services, according to a recent NAM flyer.
In addition, NAM may be able to assist clients with recent disaster relief expenditures, NAM Fundraising Manager Samantha Gonzalez said in an email.
To be determined eligible, residents must bring a completed NAM Relief Assistance Application, photo ID, FEMA registration number, proof of income prior to Hurricane Harvey and proof of disaster impact, such as a letter from FEMA.
The disaster-relief services are available to clients who reside in the northwest Houston area.
