On June 14, Spring ISD announced 11 new campus principals and administrators, most of whom were already employed by the district.

“Some of them even went to SISD schools,” Superintendent Lupita Hinojosa said June 14. “Many of them have their children [who] have graduated from SISD schools and they've spent their careers here.”

Four current SISD employees and one returning employee were hired as campus principals for the upcoming school year, according to a June 15 news release from SISD. Kimberly Dussette, Sarahdia Johnson, Cecily Parker, LaToya Patterson and Shalynndrea Sterling-Teel will be serving as the principals of Dueitt Middle School, Hoyland Elementary School, Jenkins Elementary School, Hirsch Elementary School and The School for International Studies at Bammel, respectively.

Dusette is returning to SISD after serving as a middle school principal in Aldine ISD, according to SISD’s news release.

“I'm so excited to have the opportunity to come back to SISD and make an impact for the students. ... They deserve it, and I'm just ready to hit the ground running and get it going,” Dussette said on June 14.

Johnson and Sterling-Teel most recently worked at The School for International Studies at Bammel. Parker was working at Westfield High School, and Patterson served as principal resident for SISD before they moved to their new positions.

Five SISD employees and one outside hire will assume district leadership roles in the upcoming school year, according to the news release. Paul Carampatan, Kregg Cuellar, LaTracy Harris, Michelle Starr, Tracey Walker and Tiffany Weston will serve as the director of student affairs; chief of academics; assistant superintendent of academics; assistant superintendent for research, accountability and testing; assistant superintendent of high schools and director of teacher leadership development; respectively.

“We work together for the benefit of our students and staff,” Weston said June 14. “And I'm so excited to work with all of you. And we're so thankful.”

Prior to earning their new roles, Carampatan worked at Dueitt Middle School, and Weston led Jenkins Elementary School as principal. Harris, Starr and Walker held leadership positions for SISD. Cuellar most recently held the role of deputy superintendent at Midland ISD.
