The new 58,000-square-foot facility will be built on the campus of St. Luke's Springwoods Village Hospital, located off the Grand Parkway in the City Place master-planned community, according to a Dec. 2 news release.
The free-standing rehabilitation center is planned to include 40 private rooms and provide care to patients recovering from conditions including stroke, neurological disease, and brain and spinal cord injuries, per the release.
Construction is set to begin in early 2026, with an anticipated opening of spring 2027, according to the release. Lifepoint Rehabilitation will manage the day-to-day operations of the facility upon completion.

A member of CommonSpirit Health, St. Luke's Health is home to eight inpatient hospitals in the Greater Houston area, according to the release. This will be the first free-standing inpatient rehabilitation hospital for St. Luke's Health, a spokesperson told Community Impact.
"This project is consistent with CommonSpirit's long-range strategy of providing whole-person care close to home through an integrated continuum of clinics, acute-care sites and post-acute facilities," Michael Lawson, Houston market president of St. Luke's Health, said in a statement.
Lifepoint Rehabilitation, an operating division of Tennessee-based Lifepoint Health, has more than 45 inpatient rehabilitation facilities across the country with a focus on recovery from brain trauma, orthopedic injuries and other neurological conditions, per the release.
"Through our continued investment in leading-edge technology and advancement of evidence-driven therapy models, we remain focused on restoring our patients to their daily lives in good health," Lifepoint Rehabilitation President Russ Bailey said in a statement. "We look forward to working alongside St. Luke's Health as we expand access to high-quality rehabilitation care in the Greater Houston area."
