According to a news release from the health care provider, construction on the hospital first broke ground May 16, 1972. Today, the 423-bed acute-care hospital boasts a Level II Trauma Center, an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke Center, a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and an Accredited Chest Pain Center.
