Harris County Flood Control District officials will host a virtual information session Sept. 22 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. to update residents on two upcoming flood control projects along Cypress Creek.
According to a Sept. 17 update from the HCFCD, the virtual meeting will provide information on the TC Jester and Westador stormwater detention basins, both of which are projects included in an upcoming application for Community Development Block Grant Mitigation Program funding.
"While these projects are in the early stages, their purpose is to construct stormwater detention basins along the main stem of Cypress Creek, which will work to reduce flooding risks and damages during heavy rain events," the update reads.
