With all precincts reporting, unofficial runoff election results showed longtime Texas House District 149 incumbent Hubert Vo unseated in the Democratic runoff election. Meanwhile, voters selected a new Republican nominee to Texas House District 126.

According to data from the Texas Secretary of State, in the Democratic runoff for Texas House District 149, incumbent Hubert Vo lost to challenger Darlene Breaux with 1,049 votes to Breaux's 1,618 votes.
Meanwhile, in the Republican runoff election to replace Rep. Sam Harless, who did not seek reelection to Texas House District 126, Stan Stanart won over Kelly Peterson to advance to the November general election. Stanart gained 7,334 votes to Peterson's 3,543 according to Secretary of State data.
Both Breaux and Stanart will now advance to the November general elections, where they will face Republican Dave Bennett and Democrat Stefanie Bord, respectively.

With unofficial early voting results released from the Texas Secretary of State, voters are choosing a Democratic and Republican nominee in the Texas House districts 149 and 126 races, respectively.
The details
The Democratic race for Texas House District 149 is one of several contests that advanced to May runoffs after no candidate received more than 50% of the vote in the March 3 primary election. Texas House District 149 covers portions of the Katy and Alief areas.
Darlene Breaux has received 997 votes, while incumbent Hubert Vo has received 676 votes, according to unofficial early voting results.
The winner of the May 26 runoff will face the winner of the Republican nominee, Dave Bennett, for Texas House District 149 in the November midterm election.Also on the ballot
Stan Stanart and Kelly Peterson are facing off for the Republican nomination to Texas House District 126 after Rep. Sam Harless announced his retirement by the end of his term in 2027.
Stanart holds 5,014 votes, while Peterson has received 2,334 votes, according to unofficial early voting totals.
District 126 covers parts of Harris County, including Cypress, Spring, Fairbanks and Jersey Village, according to a map of the district.
The winner of the runoff election will face Democratic nominee Stefanie Bord for the position.
