With 774 of 782 Harris County voting centers reporting Election Day results, incumbents Cathy Arellano and Rob Ellis appear to be the likely winners in the race for Klein ISD board of trustees positions 6 and 7, respectively.

In the race for Position 6, Arellano received 34,863 votes, or 53.01% of all votes, while challenger Kristin Cobb received 30,898 votes, or 46.99% of all votes. In the race for Position 7, Ellis received 40,542 votes, or 63.16% of all votes, while challenger Jack "Joaquin" Velasquez received 23,651 votes, or 36.84% of all votes.

With 11 of 782 Harris County voting centers reporting Election Day results, incumbents Cathy Arellano and Rob Ellis continue to maintain their leads in the race for Klein ISD board of trustees positions 6 and 7, respectively.

In the race for Position 6, Arellano received 22,928 votes, or 51.74% of all votes, while challenger Kristin Cobb has received 21,384 votes, or 48.26% of all votes. In the race for Position 7, Ellis received 28,161 votes, or 65.18% of all votes, while challenger Jack "Joaquin" Velasquez received 15,046 votes, or 34.82% of all votes.

Early voting results show incumbents Cathy Arellano and Rob Ellis taking early leads over challengers Kristin Cobb and Jack "Joaquin" Velasquez in the race for Klein ISD board of trustees positions 6 and 7, respectively.

According to early voting results, Arellano received 22,921 early and absentee votes, or 51.74% of all votes, while Cobb received 21,381 votes, or 48.26% of the total. Meanwhile, Ellis received 28,157 early and absentee votes, or 65.18% of all votes, and Velasquez received 15,042 votes, or 34.82% of the total.

As previously reported by Community Impact, Arellano was first elected to the KISD board of trustees in 2016 and was re-elected in 2019 after running unopposed. Ellis was first elected to the board of trustees in 2019.

Cobb previously ran for Position 5 on the KISD board of trustees but lost to incumbent Ronnie K. Anderson in November 2021.
