The details
During the board’s Dec. 9 meeting, Chris Todd, Denise Morrison and Nicole Doerre Peters were sworn in to serve as trustees for positions 3, 4 and 5, respectively.
While Todd won his reelection bid after first being elected to the board in 2018, Morrison and Peters are each serving their first terms as trustees for the district.
What they’re saying
Each of the new trustees said they were excited to begin their tenure on the board.
“I am truly honored to be here and to be serving on this board for this community that I love so much and that I’ve been a part of my whole life,” Peters said. “I’m very excited to do some good work with this board.”
Morrison echoed Peter’s sentiment, noting she was happy to see the results on election day.
“I did run in 2021, and running this year, I was very thankful to see the result,” Morrison said. “I’m going to dive right in.”
