A new partnership between Spring ISD and the Houston Public Library will provide students and staff with accounts allowing them to access books and other learning resources, according to a Nov. 18 news release from the school district.

About the program

According to the news release, the new HPL partnership has granted all SISD students a Learning Link account, which will allow them to:
  • Check out up to 10 age-appropriate print materials at HPL locations
  • Use age-appropriate e-books, audio books and digital comic books
  • Access tutoring services and online academic databases
What parents should know

According to the release, age restrictions under the program are as follows:
  • Children’s materials can be checked out by elementary school students
  • Children’s and teen materials can be utilized by middle school students
  • Materials for all ages can be accessed by high school students
