Lone Star College to launch online bookstore for textbooks, school supplies

Lone Star College’s new Virtual Bookstore—set to launch Oct. 1—will make book buying more efficient and less wasteful, college system leaders said in a Sept. 25 news release.

What to expect

The Virtual Bookstore will feature:

• New and used books, and e-books available to buy or rent
• Class supplies
• An online marketplace for third-party sellers
• LSC merchandise and spirit gear

Students will now be able to request their purchase be delivered to an on-campus location, which can provide “substantial financial deals and savings,” according to the release.

“The LSC Virtual Bookstore will seamlessly integrate into students’ academic journey, making it easier for them to purchase necessary educational materials,” LSC Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Mott said in the release.
