Spring High School has welcomed a new principal who is trilingual and has a background in middle and high school education, according to a Jan. 26 news release from Spring ISD.

Jalen Hemphill was named the principal of Spring High School after undergoing a rigorous selection process, according to the news release. Previously, James Golden served as the school's principal after being selected in May 2021.

Hemphill has multiple degrees, including a masters in education administration, according to the news release. He also speaks English, Spanish and Arabic.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mr. Hemphill to the [Spring High School] community," Superintendent Lupita Hinojosa said in a statement. "His trilingualism and leadership experience will be valuable assets to the campus, and we are confident that he will help our students achieve success."
