Spring ISD officials announced classes will be canceled on Feb. 4 due to freezing weather expected the evening of Feb. 3.

University Interscholastic League, or UIL, activities will still be held in the afternoon on Feb. 4 and classes will be held as normal on Feb. 7.

With a winter storm blowing into Houston, Spring ISD opted to cancel after-school activities Feb. 3 due to inclement weather.

SISD’s monthly board of trustees workshop, planned for 6 p.m. on Feb. 3, has also been canceled.

“We are making this decision based on the latest predictions of worsening weather conditions, keeping the safety of all students as our top priority,” reads SISD’s Feb. 3 announcement.

Classes have not been canceled for Feb. 3, and SISD officials have not yet announced whether classes or after-school activities will be held Feb. 4.
