Klein ISD announces new principal for Mittelstädt Elementary

Julie Shumake will serve as the new principal of Mittelstädt Elementary, Klein ISD announced May 31.

Prior to joining Klein ISD, Shumake served as principal and assistant principal in Tyler ISD, assistant principal and teacher in Chapel Hill ISD, curriculum specialist in Jacksonville ISD, and teacher and department chair in Troup ISD, according to the KISD news release.

“I am so excited to be a part of the Mittelstädt and Klein Family,” Shumake stated in the news release. “I believe in the power of people and relationships. I want this to be a great place for everyone—students, staff and teachers—because everyone has a plan, purpose and reason for being here and everyone makes a difference.”
