Klein ISD  In September, Klein ISD kicked off the work of Guiding Coalitions, volunteer groups of stakeholders from across the district who will lead and support a collaborative effort to improve student learning and performance, said Jenny McGown, associate superintendent for Teaching and Learning for KISD.

One Guiding Coalition will focus on English language learners, and the other will support special education students, McGown said.

Each Guiding Coalition will create a vision, select initiatives to achieve that vision and recruit others to participate in these endeavors, she said.
