A number of restaurants and dining venues have opened in the Spring and Klein areas since April, offering traditional dining experiences or quick dessert pickup. This list is not comprehensive.

Madras Curry House

According to the owners, Madras Curry House officially opened June 27 in Spring and offers a variety of southern Indian cuisine, such as curries and biryanis, which are rice-based dishes.Sake Bon

Japanese restaurant Sake Bon is now open in Cy-Fair, offering a variety of sushi rolls as well as noodle, rice and hibachi dishes. Popular dishes include tamaki, nigiri, sashimi and other types of sushi. The restaurant also serves a variety of cooked dishes, such as stir-fried noodles and teriyaki. Desserts include a variety of ice creams and tempura banana.Raised Spirits

Raised Spirits, a family-owned liquor store, opened in Spring in late April, owner Heip Tran confirmed. Tran said he opened the business along Cypresswood Drive because he wanted to create a space for people to enjoy themselves with personalized drink consultations, cocktail mixers, daily tastings, as well as beers sourced locally and from around the world.

La Casa del Abuelo


La Casa del Abuelo owner Jay Henriquez said he opened his own restaurant along with his nephews, Yuri and Edgar Albarado, in April. Menu items include carne asada, pollo con tajadas, baleadas Hondureñas and pupusas. The eatery also offers handcrafted aguas frescas, including flavors such as horchata, hibiscus and piña made from scratch.Jeremiah's Italian Ice

The dessert shop sells dozens of flavors of Italian ice, soft-serve ice cream and a combination of the two, a signature item called the Jelati. Customers can also purchase to-go ice cream cakes and cookie sandwiches. The new North Oaks location opened in June, according to an announcement on the company's social media, and serves sweet treats daily from noon to 11 p.m. The company has 20 locations in the Greater Houston area, per its website.Gee's Mini Pancakes

Owned by Joseph Solis, Gee's Mini Pancakes serves desserts including mini pancakes, milkshakes, crepes and Dubai chocolate. According to the company website, the eatery has an additional location in north Houston at 10745 North Fwy., Houston.Tri-State Bagel

Tri-State Bagel TX owner Joe Macri said the bagel shop is now serving freshly baked bagels made daily. Tri-State Bagel TX also serves pizza and other baked goods and most recently launched pickup and delivery services as well as catering services, Macri said.
