Meet the owners

Sinarith Uy and his wife, Ellie Sou, own Ohana Poke Bowl. Uy, a 20-year Navy veteran, said he survived Cambodia’s Killing Fields from 1975-79 when the Khmer Rouge regime took control of Phnom Penh.

In 1981, he fled to Thailand following Vietnam’s invasion of Cambodia before eventually settling in Houston. Uy and Sou later lived in California and Alabama, but recently returned to Texas and opened Ohana Poke Bowl.
