Founded in 1977 in North Carolina, the Bojangles brand now has 828 locations in 19 states, officials said.
The first Houston-area location opened in Richmond on Jan. 21, and a Webster location is set to open Feb. 18. Officials said more locations are on the way with an estimated 50-75 locations coming to the Houston region over the next five years.
“Bringing Bojangles to Houston is an incredible milestone for our brand,” CEO Jose Armario said in the release. “These openings reflect our commitment to growth as we introduce a taste of the Carolinas including our bold flavors, signature chicken and fresh-baked biscuits to even more communities across Texas and beyond.”
