The number of shopping centers in Spring and Klein has grown along with the area’s population. Numerous restaurants and shops opened at the Grand Parkway Marketplaces I and II, the Market at Springwoods Village, Shops at Gleannloch Crossing, Vintage Park and Vintage Marketplace in 2017.

The latest

Springwoods Village saw a wave of retail and restaurant openings this year near I-45 and  the Grand Parkway, including Torchy’s Tacos, Tarka Indian Kitchen and Kroger. Large retailers, such as Target and Academy Sports + Outdoors, opened at the Grand Parkway Marketplace I and II near Kuykendahl Road. A number of restaurants offering international cuisine opened in a shopping plaza on FM 1960 that houses a Sun’s Wholesale store, including Ramen Fun, Hunan Cafe and Hou Wei. Numerous businesses also opened in Vintage Park in 2017, including Hopdoddy Burger Bar and women’s boutique Francesca’s.

What’s next

Restaurants and shops are set to continue to open in numerous shopping centers throughout Spring and Klein in 2019. JINYA Ramen Bar is set to open its Springwoods Village location in early 2018, and Aki Steak and Sushi is set to open in the Grand Parkway Marketplace in early 2018.
