As of July 28, 2,986 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed across nine Spring- and Klein-area ZIP codes, according to data reported by Harris County Public Health. This number has increased by 50 cases since July 27 and includes 1,174 active cases, 1,779 recoveries and 33 deaths.
Since July 10, the 77090 ZIP code has reported a total of five deaths from COVID-19, however July 21 data reported one less death. Community Impact Newspaper has reached out to Harris County Public Health and the City of Houston Health Department on why the 77090 ZIP code has one less death than what was reported prior to July 21.
As of July 28, Harris County Public Health reported a total of 67,660 confirmed cases in Harris County–including 44,749 active cases, 22,240 recoveries and 670 deaths. Comprehensive data for Harris County can be found here.
