Houston Tents & Events acquired event rental company A Finer Event in October. The acquisition doubled Houston Tents & Events' footprint, adding 30,000 square feet of inventory, according to a news release. As part of the acquisition, Houston Tents & Events brought on A Finer Event’s management team and also hired Stephen Naleway, who has 25 years of experience in the industry, as the new general manager as well as Fito Reyes, who has 28 years of experience, as senior operations manager, according to the release.

The backstory

According to the release, Houston Tents & Events was founded in 2020 and works to help create parties, events and activations with more than 60 employees providing support and expertise. The company has served clients including Space Center Houston, M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Pride Houston, University of Houston, Rice University, Sam Houston State University, Houston Dynamo and Houston Botanic Gardens as well as governmental entities such as The Woodlands, Sugar Land and Galveston. It has also worked with charities such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, American Heart Association and Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
