Officials with the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Arts named Nicole DeGuzman as the museum's new director via a Sept. 5 news release.

Career history

Per the release, DeGuzman has more than 25 years of experience leading museums, including executive director roles at the Bastrop County Historical Society Museum and Visitor Center, the Scurry County Museum and the Maplewood Area Historical Society.

DeGuzman holds a master of arts in Museum Studies from John F. Kennedy University and a bachelor of arts in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of California Santa Barbara.
