Construction on a 14-acre park funded by the Bridgestone Municipal Utility District is progressing/running ahead of schedule in Spring, according to a Feb. 15 email from Megan Bradley, the MUD’s communications consultant and Triton Consulting Group president. The $20 million park was initially slated to open in late 2024 or early 2025.

Bridgestone MUD’s park will include features such as:
  • Children’s play areas for a variety of ages
  • Interactive play areas designed for children with disabilities
  • A half-mile walking trail around the park’s perimeter
  • Areas for food trucks and picnics
  • A dog park with divided small and large dog sections
  • A putting green
  • Outdoor gaming tables for ping-pong, foosball, beanbag toss, chess and checkers
  • A 3.6-acre pond with fountains
  • A splash pad, which can be utilized as a regular play area in the winter
  • Two pavilions
  • A hammock area
  • Water conservation features, such as recycled-water amenities
  • Native plants
The Bridgestone MUD park originally broke ground March 28, 2023, and is located near the MUD’s administrative building.
