Giant Gingerbread Village

City Place will present a gingerbread-themed photo op with a path lined with gumdrops, lollipops and candy canes—and guarded by two giant gingerbread men—leading to a raised clearing with cookie trees, a 16-foot-high gingerbread house and a 12-foot windmill. City Place will host a Christmas tree lighting event with a countdown for the illumination of a 35-foot Christmas landmark rising from City Place Park’s main pond. The Islamic Arts Society will host its 10th annual Islamic Arts Festival with a visual feast featuring hundreds of artworks, including Islamic calligraphy, woodwork, ceramic tiles and paintings from local artists. There will also be opportunities to interact with the artists, henna tattoos, activities for children and ethnic food from food trucks.Christmas Spectacular

Champion Forest Baptist Church will host its annual Christmas Spectacular with a 90-minute music-filled show with a combination of Broadway-scale songs, dance, lights and effects, and a portrayal of the Nativity. There will be six English performances and two Spanish performances. Ticket prices will increase beginning Nov. 1.
