Wine lovers in Cypress will have the opportunity to choose from 150 types of wine at 20 tasting stations and bites from local restaurants during the third annual WineFair Cy-Fair April 5 at Cypress Village Station.

Hosted by the Cy-Fair Houston Chamber of Commerce, 2,500 people are expected to attend this year's celebration, which has sold out each year in the past. Three years ago, the chamber partnered with Food and Vine Time Productions—the company that hosts The Woodlands Wine and Food Week and numerous events around Houston—to put on the inaugural Wine Fair.

"This is the third year for WineFair Cy-Fair, and we feel fortunate to have formed a tremendous working partnership that has worked out well for the chamber and for the community," chamber President Leslie Martone said. "This year our efforts will also benefit Reach Unlimited as our charity benefactors."

In addition to the wine and food booths, guests can visit the Backyard Grill Beer Garden, featuring craft beer offerings from Brazos Valley, Karbach, Rahr and Sons and St. Arnold, along with bites from the Backyard Grill and Backyard Smokehouse.

This year's event also features live music from the Robert Hartye Band and a vendor village with art, jewelry and other gifts.

"The first two years of this great event were huge successes—better than we could have hoped for," Martone said. "And really, we expect this year to be even more fun and successful."
