Residents of the Rivers Edge and Rio Vista subdivisions in Richmond are advised to not use toilets or water fixtures after the Fort Bend County MUD 145 and 140 lift stations were shut down Wednesday night, according to a press release from the city.

“This has also affected the Richmond Landing area,” the release stated. “This means there will be no sanitary sewer for the subdivision and businesses in these areas.”

The lift stations cannot go back into service until the water and river recedes, according to city officials.
