Now that all mandatory evacuations in the city of Richmond have been lifted and the curfew for unincorporated portions of Fort Bend County is no longer in effect, get out of the house this weekend with these events happening around town.

- Eat lunch at the Richmond Firehouse
Residents can catch up with local community members over pizza and wings by taking part in the city’s weekly Food Truck Friday event. IL Primo Pizza & Wings Food truck will be stationed at the Richmond Fire Department and offers a variety of menu items. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. 200 Houston St.

- Listen to Music in the Park
Richmond local singer and songwriter Kayla Gulley will perform Friday at the City Hall Park as part of the Historic Richmond Association’s Music in the Park Summer Series. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets. 7-9 p.m. 402 Morton St., Richmond. Free.
- Attend a historical novel lecture
The Fort Bend Museum’s fall lecture series will start off with a lecture from author Paul Spellman about his new book "The Murder of William Marsh Rice: A Galveston Storm Novel." Set in the fall of 1900 in Galveston, the novel explores the murder of a Texas millionaire. 10 a.m. 601 Jackson St. Free.
- Take a free tour of the 1883 Historic Moore Home

- Take the children to meet Curious George

- Have lunch at the George Ranch Historical Park
The George Ranch Historical Park’s Saturday Historic menu will feature an 1830s Jones Stock Farm lunch with pork belly, venison and pork smoked sausage, dandelion greens, corn bread and more. 12:30 p.m. 10215 FM 762, Richmond.
