Just in time for Black History Month, members of the Fort Bend community will be able to explore a new exhibit at the Fort Bend Museum that highlights African-American history starting Feb. 9.
Triumphs & Tribulations: Reflections on African American History in Fort Bend County will open at the Fort Bend Museum off Jackson Street in Richmond Feb. 9 and runs through May 26.
The exhibit provides an overview of African-American history in Fort Bend County, according to the Fort Bend Museum website. Museum goers can expect to learn about certain African American citizens that helped shaped the county’s future path.
The exhibit is the first in a series of new exhibits at the museum. Admission is free. Read more about the exhibit and the Fort Bend Museum
