LCISD school board meeting. Jan. 16
The Lamar Consolidated ISD board of trustees will meet Tuesday, Jan. 16 at the administration building in Rosenberg. The meetings are free and open to the public. Agendas are usually posted online before the meeting. 3911 Avenue I, Rosenberg. www.lcisd.org

Richmond Historic Commission meeting, Jan. 16
The Richmond Historical Commission will meet Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the City Hall Annex in downtown Richmond. Items on the agenda include discussing the expansion of the Historic District boundaries north to Clay Street and North 2nd Street.

Central Fort Bend Chamber President steps down
ICYMI: After three years leading the Central Fort Bend Chamber, Regina Morales is stepping down as president, according to a Jan. 11 letter from chamber officials. Morales will continue to serve the chamber for an interim period on a contract basis, but has officially stepped down to focus on her family business, according to the letter. The chamber is searching for a new president.
