The Federal Emergency Management Agency extended the deadline for Texans affected by Hurricane Harvey to receive disaster assistance by six additional days to Nov. 30, according to a press release.

The original Nov. 24 deadline was extended in order to provide Harvey victims additional time through the Thanksgiving holiday.

Those in need may apply for assistance through FEMA for help with repairs to damaged homes, rental assistance, temporary housing, grants for additional expenses and more. Renters and homeowners must be located in accepted counties that include Harris, Galveston and Fort Bend counties.

To register for FEMA assistance visit disasterassistance.gov or call the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362.
