Dec. 16 and 17: Campfire Christmas
Participants experience Christmas Eve celebrations of the 1860s, 1890s and 1930s. Guests join the Ryon family for a housewarming ball in 1869, visit a line camp on Christmas Eve and enjoy songs, stories and cider around a campfire with cowboys, and finally, celebrate with the George family in 1945 in a world at peace after World War II. Dec. 17: Christmas in the Park
Visitors to George Ranch Historical Park will travel through Christmas past while taking a hayride through decorations from the 1830s to the 1930s. The event also includes wassail, Christmas tree samples and a tree house story time with Santa. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (full event), 11 a.m., 1 and 3 p.m. (story time with Santa).
