Pearland, Alvin ISDs issue closures in light of Hurricane Laura

Pearland and Alvin ISDs issued district closures for this week as the districts continue to monitor the weather.

AISD began school Aug. 24. The district has shut down operations for the remainder of Aug. 25 and has closed the district Aug. 26 and 27.


PISD has not started school yet, but it has shut down the district for Aug. 26 and 27. The district will make a decision about Aug. 28 on Aug. 27, according to the district website. PISD is set to start the school year Aug. 31.
